This is a great opportunity for 18 and 19 year olds to get a job now as many of those jobs will most likely require very little previous experience.

The next debt crises in America is going to be all the student debt that is being carried and it is no wonder with the absolutely outrageous cost of getting a college degree. How can anyone justify borrowing $10,000 to $50,000 a year for 4 years just to get a college degree?

For doctors and lawyers who might be able to make enough to pay it back maybe it is okay. But for the average student with an English major, Communications major, History major, or any other kind of major what kind of job are they going to get that will pay them enough to ever pay that much back? And now with the unemployment rate near 10%, no college graduate is guaranteed of getting a job at all anyway.

This is a SERIOUS problem for anyone who is 18 years old and trying to figure out what to do. On one hand they may want a college degree but on the other hand they don’t want to be in debt much of their lives just to get it. At some price, and we may already be at that price, a college degree is a BAD choice!

Jobs for 18 year olds are not easy to find and anyone who has been looking knows that. It is no secret that jobs for college graduates aren’t easy to get either and many of the people trying to get them are heavily in debt from all their college loans.

College is important only if you can afford it because even with a degree nothing is guaranteed. Many, many people have no degree and have been VERY successful in business and their jobs. So, it might be better to be looking for work with zero debt than already being buried in it just like so many college students and graduates are now days.

If you are 18  or 19 years old and looking for a job, keep looking and be glad you don’t have big loans to pay off. It might not be fun to be having so much rejection on the job front but at least you don’t have that pernicious debt to pay off!

It’s 2010 and jobs are difficult to find for all ages. If you are trying to figure out how to best go about finding jobs for 19 year olds, you are pretty much in the same boat as eighteen year olds.

18, 19, and 20 year olds are limited in their job options because at that age, they haven’t graduated college and might not even be going to college. This means the only jobs they would qualify for are entry level jobs that don’t require a degree. Although there are many jobs of this nature, it does limit your options and it does mean that you will start out on the low end of the pay scale.

Getting a college degree is agreed to be the best choice by most people because it may open up job doors in the future. Getting in early and getting some solid job experience is the next best thing to going to college and many people have made successes of their life that way too.

Good jobs for 18 year olds and 19 year olds include entry level office jobs where you can get in and learn the business from the ground up. Many big time CEO’s have started that way either in the back office or the sales floor and worked their way up until they became the top man (or woman). Learning a business and everything it encompasses is a great substitute for a college degree and there is no reason why you can’t be a success if you are hard working and motivated.

Jobs for high school graduates can also be found in sales. Being a good salesperson is something that you might already have the talent for or can learn. It is definitely not something that is learned in a college classroom so if you are outgoing in nature, you might look into sales as a career. In today’s bad economy, companies are always hoping to find people who are talented at sales.

Any job you get for 18 or 19 year olds will probably be something that is not glamorous and will not pay great. However, if you are willing to work hard and keep learning whatever business it is, you will find you have a lot of upward potential.
